Our Story

A sweet
start in
Chocowinity.

While visiting her daughter in Boston, Jamie Kocher spotted a Swedish candy trailer out on Cape Cod — and was instantly hooked. She brought the idea home to Chocowinity, naming it Sweet Tide.

Joined by her husband Brady, Jamie launched the bite-sized 6×9 candy trailer to share the TikTok-famous Swedish treats with Beaufort County. It's "better for you candy" — made without high-fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes, or animal-derived gelatin, with less sugar and fewer calories than American counterparts.

In just its first month, Sweet Tide has been a vendor at the Washington-Beaufort County Chamber Summer Festival, the Belhaven Fourth of July celebration, and a regular spot at Pitt Street Brewing Co. on the Pamlico.
